Purchased the 65″ model with the Amazon Delivery and Unpack service. I hired a professional mounter to install on same day as delivery. It worked beautifully … for 3 days. Then suddenly it had no picture when powered on. The backlight and LEDs came on and I heard audio indicators on remote button presses, but nothing but a black screen. The manual was of little help. I googled and performed a few basic troubleshooting steps I could find and finally called Hisense. First I went thru their automated support (“Jennifer”) who (which) was pretty useless. Then I got thru to a live rep who walked me thru a series of tests, (unplug/replug, reset button, remote button press sequence) and in less than 3 minutes, she decided I needed to have a tech person dispatched … “WITHIN THE WEEK” to assess the issue and decide if a replacement or repair was necessary. This would require a certain amount of documentation (receipt, photos of the black screen, etc.) and she walked me thru the process of submitting it all. I provided the model and serial numbers in the email I had to send. I was also told that the unmounting and remounting would be my responsibility since their technicians are not authorized to do that.
The following afternoon I received a reply email that in order to assist me, I would have to send them “the” photo of the sticker on back (which had the serial and model numbers that I had already shared) as well as a photo of the “entire” black screen that I had “failed to provide” (because evidently an inch or so was cropped off what I had sent … the bezel basically). I complied and sent the additional pictures within the hour.
The rest of the day went by with no contact whatsoever. Their “support” line closes at 9PM so at 8:45 I took it upon myself to call and follow up. I was again informed of the pictures I’d neglected to send and I told the rep to look again, giving the timestamp of my email from earlier. She located it and put me on hold a few minutes.
When she returned, she informed me that Hisense had “determined” that the unit had suffered “PHYSICAL DAMAGE” and that they therefore would be unable to provide a technician (or replacement/repair/refund).
I explained that the TV had been mounted at a significant height from the floor and I asked how physical damage could possibly occur if nothing at all touched the unit or was even in the vicinity of it between the time when it was mounted and working and when it stopped.
She replied “I have no way of knowing that.” I responded “But YET somehow you magically have a way of ‘KNOWING” that it was indisputably physically damaged, based solely on 2 photos of a black screen.” “Is there anything else I can help you with, sir?” she answered. “Anything ELSE? You haven’t helped me. What exactly am I supposed to do now with a brand new, 3-day old non-functioning unit that you refuse to even send out a technician to assess it.” She suggested that I obtain (and pay for) my own technician and went on to suggest that had I purchased an “extended manufacturer’s warranty,” I might have more options. I said “Extended beyond what? Three days? YOU’RE the manufacturer. What is the warranty you DO provide then?” Again she reiterated I would have needed to purchase an extended manufacturer’s warranty. I told her that since my time machine was currently out for repairs, that would be an impossibility.
Again she asked “Is there anything else I can help you with, sir?” I’ll refrain from sharing my response. I’ll also refrain from EVER considering making another purchase from this … “company.”

I bought one of these to give to my mom on christmas and she absolutely raves about it. she loves how easy it is, how good the picture quality is, how good the sound is, how much bigger it is than her last one. It’s also extremely reasonably priced, I would definitely recommend this if you’re in the market for a new TV.
It works well for a "gentle leader" product, however, especially for the price, the reflective tape should have lasted more than 3 days. –
I purchased the 65″ model last week, needed an upgrade as well as a larger set. What grabbed my attention was great price, more than 50% off! It arrived quickly and was a snap to set up and get viewing. Clear, sharp picture with vivid colors and intense volume. If I owned my own home all the bedrooms/den would have this model!

Read other reviews and sound quality was reported to be great. It’s solid, but lacks low end and even dialogue in shows sounds a little flat. Bought the $100 Sony SF-100 and it’s perfect. Worth the extra $100 as the TV is great in all other areas and super affordable.

50″. For 2 and a half bills it’s an amazing TV. Nothing on the picture level of OLED or QLED but you definitely get your monies worth and then some.
Though it’s probably a standard feature these days I like that I can just plug a USB with movies on it and watch it without a special USB device taking up an HDMI slot. My initial intent was to use this as a monitor for my PC. I soon realized for that I’d need at least a QLED to be happy, though it wasn’t horrible. So I just put it in my bedroom and replaced my old 1080p 42″ tv.
What I didn’t care for is the built-in Roku wireless has less range than my standalone Roku stick I was using prior (occasionally it will have trouble picking up the signal). Also, I can’t STAND this Roku remote vs my other old one: Instead of a microphone button where you can speak to let it know what to search for, they’ve replaced that button with something completely useless for me: A snooze button to tell it when to shut off the TV so you can save energy. Also, the new ‘play / pause’ button is tiny and shaped like all the buttons surrounding it, whereas my old play/pause button was larger so it was much easier to pick up in the dark and immediately feel where it is. My old remote also had a little fabric piece at the bottom which also helps with quick navigation in a dark room. Luckily you can program your old remotes to the TV so I’m just using the ‘good’ remote instead of this new garbage one. Don’t even get me started on the dedicated Netflix, Apple TV, etc buttons on the bottom. Completely pointless for me. The only thing I like on the new remote that the old one doesn’t have, is the mute button.
Overall a great tv for a low price. I even told the UPS guy that delivered it that it only cost 2.5 bills and he was amazed.

Excellent picture quality. If you want color accuracy, the Movie mode gets you so close you won’t bother doing much tweaking. If you want the showroom brightness it’s dynamic mode does that well. A few other notes, the speakers in this TV are just fantastic for its size. spoken dialog very easy to hear and well balanced with background music and sound effects. The volume for speaker size is very impressive. Also this is the most responsive Roku remote I’ve had, when turning the volume up and down, RokuTVs are known for an annoying delay, but this TV has no delay on volume adjustments. UHD content looks fantastic, so does HD. Easy to mount. Recommended.

It’s amazing how much TVs have improved across the board over the past 5 years. This is especially true of budget TVs because many of the features that were only found in upper level, premium units such as Dolby vision, HDR and dts sound have migrated down to their cheaper siblings. After a ton of research, I purchased the 50 inch Hisense R6 and mounted it to my bedroom wall. When it comes to performance, I have zero regrets. Sure, it’s not as vibrant as my 65 inch LG C1 OLED that I have in my family room, or loaded with features such as Filmmaker mode and Bluetooth, but it’s a huge improvement over the 43 inch plasma TV it replaced.
With a bit of tweaking, I was able to get the color adjusted to my preference. Now I understand that everyone is different, but the following adjustments is what I found to be the best for me:
TV brightness: Bright
Picture mode: Standard
Under “Customized picture”
Backlight: 100
Brightness: 55
Contrast: 100
Sharpness: 60
Color: 40
Tint: -5
Under “Expert settings:
Dynamic contrast: off
Noise reduction: off
Color temperature: Normal
Auto setting: Standard
Gamma correction: 2.2
Under sound mode: Theater
Be aware that HDR content has to be separately adjusted… Again, keep in mind these are the adjustments that work best for me. I would encourage you to experiment with tweaking the TV because you will most likely not be satisfied with the default settings that come out of the box… You’ll notice that I have not taken the time to comment on the specs of the TV because that type of information can easily be found online and YouTube. Suffice to say that a better TV for the money just doesn’t exist – at least for the time being. The Hisense R6 is well built, the baked in Roku operating system is fantastic and the asking price is remarkable. Can you get a better TV if you’re willing to pay a lot more? Of course, but I think that over 80 percent of the people who buy the Hisense R6 are going to be perfectly satisfied.
One last thing as a side note, if your TV (or anything else you buy on Amazon for that matter) is delivered damaged, get in touch with Amazon who will most likely replace it – Nothing is more annoying than to see somebody post a 1 star review for a situation that has absolutely NOTHING directly to do with a product or its performance. Just saying!

I was honestly scared due to all the reviews about a damaged dv. Now don’t get me wrong my box did come fairly beat up with some tears around the edges BUT, my tv was perfectly fine! The set up was quick and easy. My old tv just broke 3 days ago and this came extremely quick.
SN: remote does come with an HBOMAX button which does nothing now that it’s “MAX” and my Netflix doesn’t load for right now but Netflix doesn’t load for me most of the time anyway lol so not sure if that’s Netflix having a bug or the tv

Great tv for the price. I really can’t complain. Light weight. Thin and it looks amazing on the wall. The sound is ok but I’ll buy a sound bar later down the road. I changed some settings on it to make it sound better for now and that works! I’d buy another

for the price its an amazing tv, but i left off one star for the following reasons,
1. internet doesn’t always connect when you turn on the tv.
2. the picture is good but my 3 year old laptop has a better picture.
3. on hd videos off like youtube the picture will lag and catch back up to its self
other than that a good tv.
